I can't believe you got all that snow. We haven't had that much period yet. I hope it's over with for us too. It sure does look pretty in your yard though. Looks like it even freaked out your dog. :)Cher Sunray Gardens
Hi Cher!Yes, poor old Ruby was not happy. She's still hiding out inside. I should get her one of those funny dog jackets.
Oh, how beautiful! My hands hurt just looking at it all, but my memory soars with the fresh feeling of snowy mornings in my childhood! (Also I love the Emily Dickinson poem - it is really good for me today to read it. I'm going to read it again.)
Thanks Country Mouse! It was very beautiful for about a day, then the snow very politely melted. Emily Dickinson has a very special place in my heart. Glad you found the poem when you needed it! (Or maybe it found you.)
Wow! Your photos get prettier and prettier as you read down the post! I love the patterns the snow traces on the branches of trees, don't you? Your patio looks so similar to ours in situation even with the iris at the left edge. Ours is pretty much melted, in fact ALL melted today and there is snow still on the mountain top.
Thanks Sue!I do love how the snow enhances the shapes it covers. It makes you see things you never noticed before. We do have our iris in the same spot! When I was out at your place so much about it felt just like home.
Oh wow you still have plenty of snow there! We have very mild winter here probably like your autumn season. We even rarely have frost.
We're at a fairly low elevation here, so we only get snow a couple of times per year and it melts away very quickly. It must be nice to be in such a warm place! From the photos I've seen of your garden, you get enough Winter chill to grow a very wide variety of plants, kind of like California's central coast. Do you have a large agricultural industry there as well?
What a wonderful snow scene!!World covered with snow is really beautiful, isn't it?You indeed had plenty of snow.I wonder if you cleared snow away.I love snow a lot,but I don't want drive on snowy and icy road if possible.Because I'm very bad at driving.By the way,I especially like the second last picture.I think, it is very pretty and well composed.
Thank you!It melted the next day. Snow is very beautiful and we get just the right ammount here. By the way, I saw on your blog that your daughter just graduated and is going to be a nurse. Congratulations! My daughter graduates next year and will also be a nurse.
March continues as a Lion in some places. Beautiful images though. We will thoroughly appreciate the soft days when they finally arrive.
Thanks Linnie. Thought I saw those lambs a time or two already. They're a bit fickle this year, don't you think?
